A new report published by the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee (EFRA) draws on evidence taken from health experts, local councils and campaign groups and urges the Government to strengthen its commitment to clean air by amending the Environment Bill, which is now delayed until autumn.
The MPs are calling on the government to set a specific target to reduce levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and other key pollutants such as NO2 and ammonia, to be in line with World Health Organisation (WHO) targets.
